Hi
My natural history geek friend and I are on another field trip for the last week of July and we've decided to try Kent and East Sussex. Where's good for butterflies in these areas?
thanks for your help
Jo

Jo,
Given 2013's great year for migrants, you could do worse than spend time around the sussex coast (i.e Beachy Head head).
For particular sites , try these:
Abbots Wood (Sussex) - Silver Washed Frits/White Admiral
Arlington Resovoir (Sussex) - Marbled White (poss Clouded Yellow)
Windover Hill (Sussex) - Silver Spotted Skipper, Chalkhill Blue, Adonis Blue
Lydden temple Ewell (Kent) - Wildlife Trust Reserve (so a good bit of everything)
Most importantly, keep in touch with the sightings page on this website along with the Butterfly conservation branch sites. If this summer is anything like the last, you might like to change your plans at the last minute and go where you least expected to.
Have a good trip
Regards Kev

Thanks Kev,
I'm really looking forward to it. I'll add those sites to the long list!
