Barnack near Stamford is a cracking site for Chalkhill Blues
Can any one explain why it is not mentioned on any of the local Butterfly Conservation websites and also sightings
Lincolnshire, which is the home county never mention it
Neither do the adjacent sites of Beds & Northants, East Midlands or Cambridge

Re: Barnack
It is in Cambridgeshire. There are are a few sightings on the Cambs-Essex website, but we are a bit thin on the ground north of Peterborough Adrian. It is listed on here for Green Hairstreak, Marbled White and Chalkhill Blue

Thanks for the reply Rosalyn
With The Deepings being in Lincs and Stamford too, I presumed wrongly that Barnack was as well
Might give it a whirl next weekend to see what's about
Last year was awesome

Re: Barnack
Hi Adrian,
You are right, Barnack hills and holes is a lovely site, a guy I met in Fermyn wood a couple of years ago told me about it and I have been going there ever since.
In fact I was there last Thursday(3/7/14) the site was looking great with all the orchids out, unfortunately I was too early for the Chalkhill blues but the Marbled whites are out in great numbers.
