december butterflies

Post by jfish »

Hi all

new poster - great site.

Thought I would let you know I spotted a small tortoiseshell flying erratically in my garden (cottingham, east yorkshire) on saturday 2nd december. after a couple of minutes it vanished - hope it found somewhere nice and warm to survive the winter...

welcome jfish! Saw one Red Admiral today, which means they are hibernating here this year, very rare in N.I.
Cheers all,
