Skipper ID Confirmation?

Post by jasonbirder »

After chasing many obvious Large Skipper around at Durlston Country Park we visited Bindon Hill in search of Lulworth Skipper
Whilst I viewed a few very dark, small individuals that couldn't be anything else...can someone just confirm that individuals like this one were also Lulworth Skipper (I'm thinking yes due to the olive/darker colouration and faint golden crescent)

I thought as much...but as I have no experience with the species its always nice to get confirmation!
I was amazed how much smaller than Large Skipper they looked!

Lovely female Lulworth Skipper!

You seem to be racking up the miles, JB. How do you stay fresh?
