Won't be long now, Bill, although I think I'll refrain from visiting this year as it's just a little too 'twitchy' for me. I don't mind a small handful of folks, but 20+ tearing up and down steep hills is a bit much.

Bill, that link doesn't work - I think it should be:

http://ntlargeblue.wordpress.com/

Does anyone know, are there any other LB sites open to the public?

They should emerge tomorrow if any early birds fancy giving it a shot. If I lived closer I'd be tempted to give it a whirl from midday onwards. :D

I might have a try tomorrow afternoon on my way back from my Heath Fritillary quest in the morning!

Any chance of this weekend's lottery numbers, Neil? :D

And do you know what, I don't doubt that tomorrow evening upon my return from work, I'll visit the BC website to find the first Large Blue sightings of 2014!

Sadly no sightings of Large Blues at Collard Hill today despite extensive searching...the very friendly volunteer warden hadn't seen any newly emerged LB's either...
Never mind...maybe tomorrow!

Apparently, the weather didn't play ball.

Let's hope tomorrow will see their emergence.
