White Moth ID please

White Moth ID please

On Monday I took this picture of a Moth it was in the bushes near a pond which is situated near the Sand Dunes at Birkdale
Southport. I've looked in my book but I'm stil not sure of it's identity Goldie M :D

Tricky. All I can suggest is a Wave. Possibly the Common Wave, Cabera exanthemata, or the Common White Wave, Cebera pusaria.

I'd say the latter. The former is not so pure white.

sorry to hi-jack the post goldie m but i have also got a white moth (ive onlyn just got my head round the buterflies )
from gait barrow

This one is most likely Scopula floslactata. S. ternata is another possibility.
