Hello again,
Just back from a birding trip, which was excellent, to Extremadura, Central Spain. While out I saw quite a few butterflies but would appreciate help in identifying these four. As always, thanks in advance for your expertise and ready help.
Best wishes,
David

Hi David. You have there a black-eyed blue, a small heath, a knapweed fritillary and a Spanish festoon.

Thanks, Guy, that was quick! I had seen the Festoon in the Crossbill guide to Extremadura and was looking out for it because it looked so beautiful - and when I found one I didn't recognise it!
Thanks again,
David
