Lol - Same thing happened to me at Bentley Woods a few years ago. This SW Frit was removed from and flew back into the car three times!!!!!!
Way too hot to close the windows. As far as I can remember it's the only species that's actually done it to me although a White Admiral perched half in and out once.

Found them
I visited Clanger Wood today.
I didn't do as well as Mark, as I had to get out of the car, but there were good sightings of these butterflies throughout the woods. They were rather skittish today though and easily disturbed. This is the best I got after about two hours effort.
