I went two years ago.
It is just fabulous.
I shall try to find some info for you, like Bog Frit sites etc.
Basically you need to stay close to Potes, and adrive to any of the passes will give loads of opportunities to explore woodland, amazing meadows, and just roadside verges. At the passes, just wander and explore for high butterflies.
A "must do" is to take the cable car from Fuente De to the top, and then spend the day wandering up there and then take the long and fabulous walk back down to Espinama - the higher meadows are amazing - really amazing.
I am going to try to find details of a good Camberwell spot and two excellent spots for Bog Frit, but I am away from my computer for the next 10 days - you will hear from me later.
PM me your address and I can post on the (annotated!) maps and stuff I used for the trip.
I envy you - I must try to return.

I'm planning to spend a few days in the Picos de Europa, probably about the second week in July, so any advice you can give would be very welcome.

I also plan to spend a few days in the Ordesa National Park on the way.
