Moth ID

Post by Lee Hurrell »

Hi all

Am I right in thinking this is a Brindled Beauty? My book doesn't depict it as being so grey.
Brindled Beauty?
Brindled Beauty?
Unfortunately this specimen was deceased, but still beautiful.

Thanks

Lee

Lee,

I would certainly agree with yoru initial ID. The attached image is taken from UK Moths. Good comparison.

Many thanks Kev.

UK moths, like my Townsend, Waring & Lewington book shows more brown than the one I saw!

Best wishes,
