Large and Small Tort!

This photo is causing a stir based on the number of retweets and Facebook "likes". Thought I'd make a point of pointing it out. Superb comparison shot!

I'll be back in Suffolk at the end of next week and will undertake my annual large tortoisesehell hunt with renewed optimism!

Indeed, the legendary Suffolk LT's.....
Good luck; cycling round Suffolk can be very nice

Great to see them both together like that. I hadn't realised that there was such a difference in size.

Agreed. This is a butterfly that may well be native again to the UK. Sightings appear to be on the increase so one hopes that at some point it may re-establish itself in these isles.
