..and I can't praise it high enough. (unless you hate porridge with Maple syrup and fry-ups with black pudding! )

I assumed you drove a Mitsubishi, Martin, but now I'm much more impressed! Nice wheels and great pics... I'm going to steal your idea for the second one and take a similar pic of my mkV GTi... but I think it's never going to look quite as impressive (despite the imminent delivery of a new 40D )...
Best way to end a day butterflying is to get back on the winding A684 from the Lakes to North Yorks and unwind, terrorising motorcyclists as you appear from nowhere in their wing-mirrors...

I will trying to take pictures of birds in the winter months.
I have just returned from a holiday in North Devon and although I only saw six different butterflies and three dragons there were plenty of birds. As usuual they were difficult to get close to, especially the waders (Im saving my pennies for a longer lens). However here are a few pics to give you that Devon flavour
BTW if there are any birders reading this could you look at the "rock pippit" and confirm the ID or not (I have pics fom different angles if it would help)
Cheers
Dave
