Unidentified species from Baltic

Post by Crispin »

Not sure what this is.

Photo sent from my brother who lives on the Danish island of Bornholm in the middle of the Baltic sea.

Possibly a Ringlet ab. arete. However, I'm sure that there are other Ringlet species it might be!

Cheers,

Many thanks.
The lack of rings on the underwing confused me and I was even wondering about a Lycaenidae, but I was finding it difficult to judge its size.
