Anyone intending to look for Heath Fritillary at Haddon hill may find this useful.
We spent late Sat afternoon and a few hours Sun morning looking for them and only found one very fresh looking individual. It was present both days around the same spot much nearer the large parking area than the layby. If walking along the track at the edge of the heath eastwards from the Parking area, the butterfly was on the left of the track after 100m or so, around a tiny patch of trees containing the only Oak tree on your left .
Quite a few Green Hairstreaks around too, Golden-ringed Dragonfly and Hobby.
