Seven Barrows (Nr. Lambourn, Berks).
If anyone has any news on the current state of the struggling Marsh Fritillary population at Seven Barrows, it would be of interest to me.
On my recent visit, not only were there no Marsh Fritillary flying, only two Dingy Skippers seen and no Small Blues or Brown Argus, on what was a windy, but sunny day.
A regular visitor and BC recorder had not seen any larval webs at all this year.
Last year I saw two Marsh Fritillaries there.
Is this yet another extinction at a once regular Marsh Fritillary site?
Incidentally, this site also has produced Wood and Garden Tiger moth in the past.

I've been a couple of times this year and drawn a blank. It was hot and sunny there today but few butterflies of any sort to be seen, apart from Small Heaths and surprising numbers of Small Blues. Unless others know differently, this seems to be another lost colony.
