Help: Butterflies in the French Alps

Post by kevling »

Hi everyone,

In late July this year, I am holidaying in the French Alps (Chamonix area).
Please could anyone help with any suggested locations to head for in that area, which are
particularly excellent for Butterflies.

Kindest Regards
Kev

You lucky soul! I fancied that area myself this year but have opted for Austria instead.

This is one of the top spots in France to go butterflying and I'm sure Guy or Roger will be along to describe what you will be likely to find.

I'd love to know how you do. I was in the Vercours and Ecrins last summer (report on my website) and I'm keen to go back to the area in the next few years. A superb area for butterflies.
