Brown Hairstreak female at Sutton Bellinger

Here are a few photographs of a female Brown Hairstreak at Shipton Bellinger in August 2012. This elusive species showed well here this year. I was lucky to spend a hour with one female, as she took turns feeding on the ripe blackberries and basking in low sunlight.

i love the second one where she is sitting on the blackberry like a little orange fairy :)
