I've now received the deposits from half the people who say they are going - just waiting for the rest. :)

Last call for the few people who haven't paid deposits. If you want a place booked for the meal please let me have your cheques by the end of the week.

Two weeks to go, folks :-)

If people want to bring photos or books or anything else they think may be of interest during the afternoon please feel free.

Also it would probably be a good idea to bring some cash and a calculator because sorting out the bill is always a bit of a nightmare.  It's £21.95 per head for the meal, we've paid a £5 deposit so there is the balance of £16.95 to be paid, plus drinks and any extras you may have.

A big thanks to Susie for organising the social - an absolutely brilliant 4 hours in the company of wonderful like-minded people! Photo below (unfortunately, Phil Underwood and wife had to leave before the photo was taken).

The UKB Butterflies Outstanding Contribution Award for 2012 was also presented - more details at: viewtopic.php?t=6641

No need to thank me, it was my pleasure.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made this afternoon so pleasant and obviously thanks again to Pete, Gary, Lisa, Guy, Vince and anyone else behind the scenes here at UK Butts.

I hope that the forum members who weren't able to join us today may be able to join us next year! :)

I'll ignore that :D

Very many thanks for organizing this event Susie and particularly making sure that everybody got what they ordered, even though no-one could remember.........

A great time was had by all and, on a personal note, it was good to finally put some faces to names.

Just to echo the previous comments - thoroughly enjoyable afternoon - many thanks for organising Susie-especially for bringing the list of what everyone had ordered
It was great to catch up with one or two familiar faces and meet some less familiar ones. :D
The wonder of the world, the beauty and the power, the shapes of things, their colours lights and shades, these I saw. Look ye also while life lasts.

Thanks Vince and Mark

It is always a suprise (although I guess it shouldn't be) just how well everyone gets on at these events. We're all different walks of life and yet everyone seems to get along just fine.

Oh, BTW, I bought my UK Butterflies calendar yesterday and very marvellous it is - it's not too late to order yours if you don't have one yet! You can see them in the photo being beautifully modelled by Essexbuzzard and Millerd!
