Looks like one of the purple-and-gold pyralid moths, Pyrausta aurata, Pyrausta purpuralis or similar species.

First I thought it was a skipper, but I have seen that before. Looks like a pyralid moth. Unusual shaped moths and a good pic. I find some of the smaller moths are more intresting than larger ones.
