Sami:
8th of December is good for us - assuming we've finished the walk by then ;)
Is there a dress code for the social? :D

I am still on for this - whatever the date.
I shall not wear fancy dress however!

Yep, I'll definitely be there - whenever. Providing my boss is speaking to me by then. It was great to put faces to names/tags. And who knows what outfit I may be wearing (or not, lol). But Pete definitely needs to be there. It would be like having the Royal Jubilee Party without the Queen attending. Ermm...maybe that came out a bit wrong? :D

But it seems a bit skewed to have just one social meeting per year right down at the bottom of the country doesn't it? Appreciated, it seems to be the people at the bottom of the country doing the organising  but surely there are plenty of UKB members in the Midlands? Or further north? I know there's a fair number of active Welsh members. I'd suggest Cardiff area for them? DavidM - over to you??? Poor old Rogerdodge lives way down in Devon but is coming across again.

Cheers,

Gibster.

Gibster, I think there was a move to have a social up here but there didn't seem to be much interest sadly.
There is the Birdfair and the BC conference where some of us could hopefully meet up. I would certainly appreciate it.

The autumn social has changed to a winter social and Pete has told me that he can make it so I am going to start a new thread to continue this on. Perhaps there will be an autumn social next year.

I agree that socials in other parts of the country would be a good idea.
