Box Hill/Denbies Hillside weekend of 28th July

Post by Susie »

This is just to warn people who may want to visit Box Hill over the weekend of 28th July that the Olympics are coming and the area will be chaos as the cyclists will be taking over and many roads will be closed. Personally I would give the whole area, including Denbies Hillside, a wide berth that weekend.

Nooooo, sorry.

If the flight times/weather and my availability are all good I may do something in August - possibly the first saturday.

Good advice Susie.it took me 2 hours to get to Denbies from just south of Dorking last year when they held the dry run for this particular event. Not fun at all.
Perhaps the butterflies would be good enough to move somewhere else for the duration.
cheers

If you can get to denbies today GO! The chalkhills are phenomenal.

Tomorrow there is cycling in the area so denbies and box hill willl be difficult to access.
