The colour purple

The right colour but not the butterfly I was looking for!! Emperors were slow to come to the ground in Fermyn today so I wandered into a part of the wood I don't usually visit and came across this little guy sitting on the path. There was just time for a couple of pics before it flew off.

Thats a nice butterfly! They never really come down much like tat, they usually stay up in the oack trees, like the Purple Emperor. Nice find.
