Winter Work.

Post by P.J.Underwood »

In order to improve a site for the butterflies,it needs careful thought and hard work. This winter, members of Butterfly Conservation, led by Malcolm Bridge, have been putting in a stirling effort at Oaken Wood.Together, with the work being done by the Forestry Commission, the aim is to restore the large area of the Chiddingfold forest to its previous glory. After all, where else can you find Wood Whites,Purple Emperors ,and the Betony Case Bearer(Coleophora wockiella). The task for hideandseek is to take a good photo of the adult stage of the latter this summer.I shall certainly be trying.
