Happy Birthday from me too. I can assure you that life doesn't begin until 50 (I may re-assess at 60) - so you got another 10 years of being a big kid.
Best Wishes, Neil

Oh I don't know about that, Kipper, I don't think some people will ever grow up and I have a feeling Gibster is one of those who will stay eternally young!
As for growing up, you wait until Mia Iris starts going out with boys, that'll make you feel your age!

Only 40?
Have a great birthday. I trust suitable quantities of alcohol will be consumed?
Kind regards. Mark

Re: Happy Birthday Gibster!
WOW!!!!!
Thank you ALL!! What a perfectly lovely bunch you are.
I think Susie hit the nail on the head. Yup, I'm gonna stay an eternal kid (well - in my mind, at least...)
A suitable amount of alcohol was indeed duly consumed, Mark. And I never ever get hangovers, Pete. So yup, I'm enjoying being forty!
2012 is going to be a MASSIVE year for me.
First I've hit 40 (and survived)
In May I'm marrying Sami at an outdoor woodland venue in Cornwall. It'll be all bluebells, brimstones and booze!! Four and a half years of procrastination is coming to an end and Sami is "finally getting her man"
For our honeymoon we're doing something a little bit special...we are walking Land's End to John O'Groats, carrying our camping gear on our backs. My boss has agreed to let me take the time off, Sam is quitting her job. We're putting our belongings into storage and, seeing as we rent, will have no home to come back to. Heck, in for a penny...
On the positive side we are doing the walk for a very good reason. Firstly it's something we've always wanted to do (yep, we're both equally crazy. It helps!) and secondly we are raising money for Butterfly Conservation. I set a rather ambitious target of £10,000 which we are still a little way from achieving We hope to devise a route which will allow us to visit many nature reserves and encounter many butterflies, as well as meeting lots of you wonderful folks along the way!
I'll start a new thread with the full info as soon as we iron out the rough corners. For anyone feeling impatient please visit http://www.justgiving.com/epicbutterflywalk and chuck BC some money, or you can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 OR £10 straight away by texting 70070 and text "WALK80 £*" (where * is the number of pounds you want to donate). The money comes straight out of your credit if you are pay as you go, or is added onto your monthly bill if you are on contract.
Right. Plug over! I'm off to carry on the important work of being 40 and having fun. Eternal kid and all that, lol.
Many thanks for your kind words people. And especially thank you Susie, I never saw THAT coming!!!!
