What is a moth video

Post by Dave McCormick »

Since the lack of butterflies around and not having much videos of butterflies yet, I made this video "what is a moth" with moth footage and images I have taken from 2007-2011. Had some issues with voice over volume but I think it is ok.

Next year I'll be doing butterfly videos, but for the moment just finishing up some moth videos.
Cheers all,

That was really good, Dave - professionally produced and full of excellent close-up video. I hope it inspires a few others to look afresh at moths.

Hi Dave,

I've just watched your video and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope it gave you as much pleasure making it as it did me watching it.

Keep up the good work.

Kind regards. Mark

Thanks Guy and Mark, the fun part was finding the moths. Glad you liked it. I'll see if I can have the next one done by the end of the week...sufgaring for moths, then have a couple on moth traps, the types of trap and how each of the lights work and if they work for attracting moths (doing actinic tubes, screw in bulbs, MBT and MV bulbs, energy saving bulbs, UV bulbs and cold cathode lights.) then have 4 videos on moth trapping that I have done from October to first weekend in December.
Cheers all,

Another really good video, Dave.

There were a few moths in there I didn't know so I've learnt something!

Keep up the good work.

me too - I really enjoyed the video and learned from it too! I'll look forward to the next in the series, but do take a break over Christmas and I wish you a peaceful time.

Took a while to get this one finally finished, its around 20 minutes long and is about how to sugar to attract moths. Has footage I took in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and this year.
