Winter Jolly (East)

Post by Jack Harrison »

This from the general winter jolly thread.

Suggestions for an East Anglia/East Midlands meeting
..... location might be just outside Cambridge (the city is lovely but involves park and ride or tedious parking). The Lazy Otter for example:

location: http://preview.tinyurl.com/6ufr7bx

Or Chequered Skipper near Oundle (some of us have met here before after Glapthorn):

I would be happy to make the arrangements, say for end of January. (Sat 21st or 28th)

Others might want to plan jollies in different parts of the country.

So are there any takers?

Hello from Surrey, Jack!

Interesting that the 21st Jan has been suggested as a possible get-together date - it just so happens to be my 40th Birthday!!! :D :D :D

Not sure what The Plan entails yet, but if I do know that I won't be going to work that particular weekend, lol. May see some of you somewhere?!?

Chequered Skipper is very tempting Jack, but everywhere is a hell of a long way from where I live :( - but will follow this and see what develops).

PS Oundle is one thing - but bl***y Southampton.... c'mon guys  ( I'm jealous enough you have all the butterflies  )

Doesn't seem to be much interest.
Would there be interest in a summer trip? I like the idea of the photography workshop but it is a long way to travel. We should be able to arrange a days butterflying with a bit of photography on the side.
Guess we need to decide when and where and who might be interested.
