I am looking forward to the AES Exhibition at Kempton Park Racecourse on Saturday 1st October. Is anybody else going?

Hi Vince,

I'll be there and probably buying more books!

Maybe we can meet up?

Kind regards. Mark

UK Butts has a stand that I'll be manning with Gary and Lisa (actually, they do all the work, I just get them teas and coffees!). Make sure you all come by :)

Cheers,

Will do! Although I'm sure Gary will bring enough for every attendee to buy several

Sure thing Mark, perhaps we can all congregate at the UKB stand at (say) 1pm. Hopefully others will also join us :D

This year we're moved to a better position - with a wall! We're stand number 10 on the ground floor at the far end of the hall, near the stairs that lead to the first floor. In fact, why don't I just post the layout sent to me?: :)

Good idea, better than last year when I sat upstairs like billy-no-mates.

Sorry about that, we never made it. It took 5 hours for the AA to get us home :(

Glad you made back home safely guys, and really sorry to hear the car broke down.

The event was definitely quieter this year, and the hall even hotter than last year. But nice to meet up with a bunch of UKB members!

Cheers,

Well it was bloody good to meet Susie and Vince (again); as well as Mark, and Mike Oxon. My only regret was not having enough time to have a good chat with each of you.

Very sorry to hear about Gary and Lisa's misfortune, truly gutting, especially after the huge amount of effort that they put into the UKB stand, the calendar, and everything else. Sometimes life ain't fair at all. Glad you had some AA cover though and got home safely..!

Piers.

Just a quick post to say how nice it was to meet up with fellow UKB members Piers, Susie, Mike, Vince and Peter at the AES exhibition. Although I had briefly met Vince before it was good to put faces to other names ... especially Susie!

Sorry guys but no competition really!

It was a great shame that Gary and Lisa didn't make it but I was glad to hear they got home safely.

Good hunting.

Kind regards. Mark

It was a pleasure to meet you too and your son, as well as Mike Oxon (and Mrs Mike), Vince, Pete and Piers.

Apologies for not being on the best form today and I would have liked to have chatted to all of you for longer.

If you weren't on form, Sooz, I certainly didn't notice; it was great to chat with you, as ever.

I must admit, I was pretty frazzled by 1pm when we all met up and the heat certainly didn't help - I must have done at least 20 circuits of the place by then! It was nice to meet up with old friends though, and meeting the UK Butts folks was definitely the highlight - it always is!

Cheers,

- Pete

I'm looking forward to the 2012 UKButts photographic forum already as it is always nice to meet up with folk from here. Perhaps we should have a winter social. We could combine a bit of brown hairstreak egg hunting with a visit to a country pub for a good old natter.

Sounds good to me. Feel free to suggest something Sooz. I'll be there :)
