I am very confused about this photo. Although its obviously blurred, I can't work out why it seems to have orange spots on the upper wing but deep blue and black marks too? Is this jut because it was flying off or have I missed something obvious?!
Maybe its the light showing through the wing? Sorry for the bad quality, I was quite a way off and didn't get close to it again. I've only spotted it today when going through my photos properly.
forgive my ignorance! Just interested to see what it might be.
It was taken on 21st Aug at Grangelands in the Chiltern Hills.
