... has a major article on the "Top 20 Conservationists". And who should we see at number 10 ... but Butterfly Conservation's very own Martin Warren. Pretty amazing given the "competition". Well done Martin!

Jeremy Thomas, of Large Blue fame, is in the 21-50 category, along with celebs such as Bill Oddie, Nick Baker and Chris Packham.

David Attenborough is at number 2, with a surprise "winner" at number 1. Well, I was surprised!

Cheers,

- Pete

Well, if you had his wealth, privilege and influence, conservation would be a pretty fine use to make of it.

Charlie's favourite butterfly...?

Limenitis camilla

Most fitting with his naval background as well!

Well, I was surprised!
Me too.
He promotes organic farming methods but his lifestyle is hardly carbon neutral. Flying 3000 miles to collect a conservation award recently was pretty self defeating too.

Don't get me wrong I like Charles, but I can't see that he's the number one conservationist in the UK. A bit ironic, when you consider how many animals and birds his family members have killed down the years, in the name of sport.

I see the son of the UKs number one conservationist, has been questioned by the police over the shooting of two Hen Harriers.
