Adonis/Amanda's/Chapman's/Turquoise Blue?

Post by David M »

There were plenty of Adonis Blues in the Cévennes, but there's something about this specimen that seems different.

The wing margins aren't chequered with black, nor is there the additional cell spot lower down the underside forewing near the base.

I keep looking at my guides, and the only others listed as being present in this region that correspond roughly in size and colouration are Amanda's, Chapman's and Turquoise.

Can anyone with more experience of Blues provide some guidance?

Thanks both. Don't know how I overlooked that species to be honest as it was only two pages prior to the other three in the guide.
