I'll stick my neck out and say it's an aberration of a Brown Argus. Something similar here:

I don't knw how much you owe Pete, but I bet he will have one powerful hangover after all of em :lol: I would concur with Pete abou the abberation.

There is blue on the underwing, so I would say it is a strange abberration of P. icarus.

Quite possibly - although I was putting the suggestion of Brown Argus down to 2 things:

1. There are more spots on the underside of a Common Blue - so more of an aberration required to remove them :)

2. The Brown Argus does have a bluish sheen (not scales) on both upperside and underside. Overly-sharpening a digital image can cause these areas to actually turn blue!

Either way - it's an ab!
