Unknown Butterfly/Moth

Post by admiral halsey »

Can anyone help ID this creature. It looks like a Butterfly to me. I've looked at my books and various internet resources and can find nothing to clarify it. It is (admittedly) a rather ragged specimen, making wing outline mistakable. I wonder if it is aberrant? Thanks for looking.
