White-letter Hairstreaks 2011

Andrew Middleton has just recorded one flying over his usual elm trees in north London. Predicted to be early and about 7 days after the first Black Hairstreaks which we use as a base line - they are nearly always 7 days later!
He has been watching the elms for the last 10 days expecting early sightings. Our previous earliest was the 4th June 2009
