Can you confirm my determination of these skippers?
Possible dereminations are: P. armoricanus, P. alveus, P. trebevicensis.
I have snapped also "albino" Small Heath .
Pyrgus armoricanus (?) and "albino" Small Heath

Hi Traplican,
I didn't answer because I'd never heard of P. trebevicensis!! I've since done some research and learned quite a bit...
I was going to suggest armoricanus rather than alveus, and now it seems trebevicensis is quite close to alveus, so your expert's ID of armoricanus fits nicely. Thanks for introducing me to a new species!
Interesting small heath!

Phew! My little ruse worked.
Now I can watch, and point, and mock, and laugh from the safety of my sofa while Gibster does battle with Daphne and Pete takes on Kevin...

EDIT - Traplican - if you don't get the pop-culture references there, don't worry!!
