David,
plenty of the Bramble flowers near me are just coming out. Just east of Cardiff, so not too different from yourself. All the same, shame the weathers gone a bit dismal in the last week... :roll:

It's been pretty dismal for the last fortnight. It's hard to believe than just 150 miles further east it's 5C warmer and almost permanently dry!

If I was a gambling man (actually I am - but we'll let that pass) I'd lay good odds that I saw a Purple Hairstreak today at Haddon Hill in Somerset.
No photo, just a glimpse as it "hairstreaked" it's way up an old oak......
