Actually Dave, one of many. Here's a slightly different one:

It's the reward for getting up very early! I took hundreds of blues pics, these group ones are my favourites, but they aren't technically the best.

If you know somewhere that has a good colony of common blue, visit before the sun climbs over the treeline. All the blues climb to the top of the nearest grass stem in anticipation of the warm sunshine and are very easy to find and very accomodating (you can even move them gently from a wobbly, windy perch to a good, stiff one). Try it yourself! They're good tripod practice too!

Thats good to know. When I go hunting for common blues in a couple of weeks or so, I hope to see what you have seen.
