Adonis Blue with Spots

Check out this page, there is a photo of a sighting of an adonis. It has particulary prominent spots on the bottom of each hind wing. When I checked the pictures on this very site, the spots are not so prominent. Just an observation.

Danny, I can see what you mean but there appears to be a 50/50 percentage of male Adonis Blues with and without spots.
This appears to be a localised variation.

Yes, like the small copper male with the orange spots, there is a 50/50 chance of it happing. Never seen the Adionis with spots though.

This is a very variable feature of Adonis blues. Some males have spots, some don't, and both forms can occur in the same place at the same time.

Here are the last five male Adonis blues I have photographed in my garden, all this year, beginning with the most recent:
