Reducing photos

Post by Susie »

Apologies if this has been covered before but is there a way to reduce photographs to post them on here without losing the photographs clarity?

There are a number of programs that can do this. Free options for Windows users include IrfanView and Paint.Net

Of course if you reduce the size there will be less pixels and therefroe less detail

if you are using photoshop, click "image - image size" then with both constain proportions & resample image boxes ticked change resolution to 190 pixels/inch and
height to 9 cm . this will give an image of 1010 pixels width. then re sharpen :D
