Rame Peninsula for butterflies?

Post by JohnR »

I shall be off the visit an old cousin who lives in Cawsand next week, anyone know of a potentially good butterfly spot in the area?

Check out Cornwall BC branch's newsletters from their web site - one of them in the last few years gave some details for this area, mentioning SPBF and possibly PBF if I remember right.

Pearl-bordered Fritillary are (will be) at the Monkey Sanctuary towards Looe. Rame has Small Pearl and possibly Pearl-bordered (unproven). Clouded Yellow did overwinter at Seaton a couple of years ago but worth checking just in case.
