I'd like to add that I really enjoyed browsing all the pictures in the competition, as well as those of the deserving winners!! The standard is so high that for myself I don't think I'm really in it to win
but I will keep posting the best I can do and hope everyone else will too.
Today I found myself framing pictures extra-carefully, always thinking, 'that will look good in the May comp'! I think it improved my standard!!

What a pleasant surprise
Thanks for everyone who voted for my snap. I can assure you it was all down to luck and an obliging subject.
I was using my old trusty Canon Powershot A85 digital compact, so it goes to show everyone has a chance of catching "a winning shot" if they give it a go.
The question, now, is do I retire while I'm ahead?
