Post by Pete Eeles »

Hi folks. This thread is here to allow you to cast your votes for the April 2007 competition (see entries at http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/phpBB2/v ... .php?t=992). You need to be registered and logged into the forums, where you'll be able to cast your vote for first place. Once you've voted, that's it!

Also - you won't see the current voting until you have voted!!!

This poll will run for 15 days.

So ... vote away!

Cheers,

- Pete

:D Congrats Simon, Matt & Mike – I have always thought that it’s very hard to get the size of the little butterflies into perspective in a photo but I thought Simon captured it very well.

I'd like to add that I really enjoyed browsing all the pictures in the competition, as well as those of the deserving winners!! The standard is so high that for myself I don't think I'm really in it to win :( but I will keep posting the best I can do and hope everyone else will too.

Today I found myself framing pictures extra-carefully, always thinking, 'that will look good in the May comp'! I think it improved my standard!!

What a pleasant surprise :D Thanks for everyone who voted for my snap. I can assure you it was all down to luck and an obliging subject.

I was using my old trusty Canon Powershot A85 digital compact, so it goes to show everyone has a chance of catching "a winning shot" if they give it a go.

The question, now, is do I retire while I'm ahead? :?
