Richard Lewington has produced illustrations for a set of stamps called the "Isle of Man Butterfly Collection". They look very attractive.

Very nice - I really like Richard Lewingtons work, and these are cracking examples.

Those are stunning illustrations. I will make sure I collect them all (even though I'm not a stamp collector).
I presume the final stamps will bear the Queen's head... Or does the Isle of Man have ER instead?

Some have 'ER' Guy, and some issues have the silhouette of the monarch's head. Sadly IoM stamps no longer seem to have the 'Three Legs of Mann'.

Just something that I have acquired en route I guess...

Very attractive set, that. I see the stamps include two species which are relatively new to the island - the Comma and the Speckled Wood.

And his brother, Ian, is very almost as fine an illustrator- of birds. An incredibly talented couple of chaps. I've met Ian several times, and sat spellbound as he's put forward his thoughts on a difficut bird ID. His eye for detail (in the field) is simply stunning.
