Upgrade of Riley's butterfly app

Post by Loxdale »

Hello,

Just a line to let you know that we have now upgraded the app for the British and Irish Butterflies by Adrian Riley. It now features a ‘Record’ button for each species/subspecies/form which allows you to send an e-mail to a person of your choice with the name of the butterfly you have sighted, and with the date, time, and coordinates. The price of the app has not changed. Feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you to those who have pointed out mistakes on the app, which hopefully have all been corrected.

Recently I have found on one of the forums the recommendation of Adrian’s book Arrivals and Rivals: a birding oddity. Some of you might know that there is a new edition out called Arrivals and Rivals: a duel for the winning bird, which has an additional chapter on Adrian’s experiences getting the data for his butterfly book.

With best wishes,

Hi Nicola,

Is this the latest version? It says 2007 on Amazon so I may have the wrong one here.

Thanks

Nicola
On the IPhone app, it would be nice to have the locations mentioned as clickable hyperlinks to take you to the location on the Maps app.
Just a suggestion.........
Cheers

Hello Lee,

You have got the new edition of Arrivals and Rivals that I mentioned. Maybe I should have called it the second edition as it is now 3 years old.

Hello Roger,

Yes, that's a good idea. We were planning to do something like this in Spring 2011.

Best wishes,
Nicola
