Spanish Blues Part 2

Hi,

I'm afraid some of these are quite worn:

Thanks,

Robin,

Are 3 and 6 not the same picture?

Cheers

1 - escheri
2 - very knackered male icarus?
3 - coridon
4 - tentatively, icarus.
5 - this looks like Plebejus sp. No silver pupils are visible, but as it's worn I don't think that means much and I probably go for argus. Probably come back to that one when it's challenged!
6 - I think it would be silly to do this one definitively, because of its condition and the lack of a good underside view, but it looks most like thersites to me, if that flies in the area. There is no cell spot visible under the forewing, the upf is not at all marked like escheri and there does seem to be extensive adroconial hairiness around the forewing cell. I can't remember if thersites flies in the area and I'm at school without books, but I think it does.

In the light of comments on another thread, you should consider the possibility 3 is hispana. I didn't consider that when I replied.
