Large White problem

Post by Dave McCormick »

I have been wntng a pic of a large white but is seems that the only one I have seen ally ear won't sit still. It flies around then disappears not to be seen until next day. Any suggestions? I have been trying for almost three weeks on and off.

Hi Dave,

Sounds like normal behaviour. I have managed to photograph just four individuals in the last two years. Some have not quite turned out as anticipated, either:

Don't give up! If you chase it for long enough, it'll have to refuel!!

Best time is in summer I have found out. But the problem I have now is that It flies around then darts over a wall, into a field and gone. Nice pic. Hope I can get some. There are loads in the kale field on our farm during summer. That will be a great time.
