French countryside 1 - Sigma 0
French countryside 1 - Sigma 0
So on hols in France and taking in the countryside today my weak ankle gives way (it does it on a yearly basis or so) and sends me tumbling dans la rue avec mon camera. Result is a mashed 150 - the plastic section which holds the metal lens mount to the lens has cracked around the screws. The 40D looks ok just seems to have some cosmetic damage. The owner of the Gite where we're staying had lent me a 70-200 which i was using yesterday (thankfully i didn't damage that!) so at least i have something to capture the wonderful butterflies with. The ankle is now twice the size of the other but that is normal. Gin helps enormously. Je suis desolete. Fokker out. Bill

Ouch - my sympathies too. When you want to get it repaired, Gary (Gruditch) knows a good place that is a darn sight cheaper than Sigma!

Sorry to hear about your accident. Will the holiday insurance cover it?

My brand new Panasonic FZ 38 fell out of my backpack just after landing in Barbados for a family wedding!
I know how you must feel. Fortunately the camera still worked okay and has been repaired since. Always very annnoying to damage photographic equipment though. Glad you still have a sense of humour. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
