So, what is the best way to put pictures onto a post? On other Forums I have used a link from Photobucket. Is there a limit to how many pictures can be put on a post? I notice that some members have galleries. Is it better to put pictures onto a gallery and then add them to a post?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Nick,

You can add pictures to a post using the "Upload Attachment" facility (there's a tab below the message text that allows you to upload images with a post). There's no need to also post in your gallery - unless you want to (every member has a gallery they can use). This is also the preferred option, since the medium-sized thumbnails are quicker to load on a page, than the full-size images. Of course, you also have the option of posting a link to an image on another website (such as PhotoBucket) using the [Img] tag, but the download times for a page will be slower if there are lots of images.

There is not limit (I believe!) to the number of images you can include in a post.

Cheers,

- Pete

That's brilliant. Thanks for replying so quickly. I will give it a try!

:(

Just answered my next question as I see the maximum size of the picture is 512kb. I'll have another try!

I'll try something a little smaller.

Strange that I can't see the picture until the post is submitted!

Now then, some people have multiple pictures, I wonder how they do that!

Agreed. Although you can see the image when you preview the post, if the images are embedded within the text. You should see an option to do that once you've uploaded the image.

Cheers,
