On Monday I have to go to Bookham Village, Surrey on a non-butterfly matter. However an afternoon a visit to nearby Bookham Common would seem to be a good idea. But I am unfamiliar with the locality having last been there in the early 1970s.
It would seem to be obvious to park at the common car part just to the east of the station and then take the woodland track north-westwards. Does anyone have better ideas?

Re: Bookham Common
I might be that way in the next few days. Is it tool late to see Purpler Emperors and Silver Washed Fritillaries?
