Attracting butterflies

Post by Dave McCormick »

I know a few good places butterflies go to in my area, but they won't sit stll long enought to get much of a shot. Whats the best way of attracting them besides flowers? What frut is good to use and how would I attract butterflies using rotting fruit?

Hi Dave,

Different species are attracted to different things - so there's no one answer to this.

I'm afraid the best answer is to "get used to it" :) ... and perfect your field craft. I've been trying for several years now and still haven't got it right :)

Cheers,

- Pete
