I put a few pics in my diary thread but I will repost here if no one minds. TBH I was just enjoying myself today and I did take photos but by the time I got there it was really hot and although there were loads of them they were very active so I didn't find it easy to get photos. That being said I still had a grand time, with the sandy path, crickets churring, heat and smell of pines I felt like I was somewhere foreign

Hi Susie,
Glad you found them! It's an interesting area for other insects, and birds too (good for nightjars, dartford wobblers etc). The adjacent Stedham Common has Purple Emperors on it - not a lot of people know that! I went along last Monday and have put a few piccies up at viewtopic.php?f=29&t=4065&start=80 See you soon for some PE action!
